**NEW FEATURE**

Quickly rename layers using the Figma quick actions launcher.

  • Select the layers that you want to rename
  • Invoke the Figma launcher with ⌘/ on Mac or Control/ on PC
  • Search for “quick rename” and press enter
  • Type what you want to rename your layers (You can use any Rename It keywords, such as %N for sequence rename)
  • Press enter and choose the sequence order if needed.
  • Voila! The layers should be renamed.

Sequence

Sequentially rename layers in either ascending or descending order.


  • Keyword %N

    – Ascending numbered sequence

  • Keyword %n

    – Descending numbered sequence

  • Keyword %A

    – Alphabet sequence

Additionally, you can choose the sequence order by:


  • Layer Panel

    – orders by the layer order in the panel

  • Left to right, top to bottom

    – orders by canvas position starting from the left most selected layer

  • Top to bottom, left to right

    – orders by canvas position starting from the top most layer

Current Layer Name

The keyword

will copy the current selected layer(s) name.

Layer Name Case

You can use the

with combination of letters to convert the layer name case.


  • Keyword %*u%

    – Convert to UPPER CASE

  • Keyword %*l%

    – Convert to lower case

  • Keyword %*t%

    – Convert to Title Case

  • Keyword %*uf%

    – Convert to Upper first word

  • Keyword %*c%

    – Convert to camelCase (This will remove the spaces)
