The focus of this complete new release is interactivity. All components try as closely as possible to imitate the actual behavior of each element. This leads to very easy to build, highly detailed prototypes. However, this is probably not the best documentation of the design system as sometimes some “between-states” are missing (e.g. focus vs active). For the best documentation please use the website and storybooks.
The Carbon Design Kit for Figma is based on the Carbon Design Kit for Sketch provided by the IBM team. We are in no way affiliated with IBM. We tried to keep it as consistent as possible while at the same time enabling the use of Figma’s latest features (
Auto Layout
,
Variants
and
Interactive Components
).
BREAKING CHANGE:
This is a complete rework of the previously released UI Kit. Do not just replace old components with this new version.
